Muhammad Dzafir: What do you do when your happiness is derived from the happiness of others but they aren't happy? //on facebook

Kaine Yeo: you cheer them up :D
Muhammad Dzafir: haha nice but if they're still not happy, how?
Kaine Yeo: then uhhh.. kill them. haha I dunno, keep working at cheering them up! and maybe if they derive their happiness from you too then you just be happy.
Muhammad Dzafir: haha i like that!
Kaine Yeo: happiness is a process, not an end (:
Julian Wong WeiXiang: i feel that we should all try to be happy independently as far as possible. makes things easier.
Kaine Yeo: to derive happiness internally is a feat beyond most of us. we are brought up with the mindset that we cannot be happy just because we are.
Muhammad Dzafir: heh not everyone share the same view julian
Julian Wong WeiXiang: but if we derive happiness from the happiness of those who are rarely happy, then our lives are doomed to be miserable indeed.
Kaine Yeo: you're right but it's hardly a choice we know how to make.
Kaine Yeo: explains why so many of us are miserable.
